History

Once the site of an old rooming house, the land that now makes up Petrie Park was purchased by the Township in November of 1999. After the house was torn down and the site was developed, the park formally opened in December of 2000. This small, intimate park is enjoyed by the Rosemont neighborhood in which it is located. This park has been a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and Radnor Township’s parks system.

Features & Amenities

Petrie Park is the definition of a community treasure. This hidden gem is a safe place for the children of the surrounding neighborhood to escape for great fun and to be outdoors. The main feature of this small pocket park is the playground. The playground contains swings, a sliding board, and teeter totters. There is also a game table and multiple benches. While the park is small, there is still ample space for many children to run around and play. Parking is available along Petrie Avenue.
