On Wednesday, 12/20/2023, a resident of Radnor Township reported being victimized by a phone scam.  The victim reported receiving a phone call at their residence, from an individual claiming to be from PECO.  Telling the victim that their bill was past due, the caller made the victim open a Bitcoin account to make payment.  Before realizing they were being scammed, the victim paid over $4,000.00 to the scammer.
