Public Health policy remains an important priority of the Board of Commissioners and the community. To this end the Board of Health was established at the very beginning of the 1st Class Township status. The board now consists of 9 members of the community either following careers or having a strong interest in matters of public health. The board meets monthly, with the exception of July and August.

 After much anticipation, the Delaware County Health Department has commenced operations; effective April 2, 2022.  In part, this may include responsibility for all food related licenses, approvals, investigation of complaints, and routine food safety inspections; as well as all commercial indoor and outdoor pool related licenses, approvals, investigation of complaints, and routine safety inspections.  All questions and concerns about their process and protocols should be directed to the County.   Please see the attached press release from the County: click here
