Crime Alert - Retail Thefts

Post Date:12/06/2023 10:34 AM

The Radnor Police are investigating several retail thefts which occurred through the past two weeks at several different businesses in Radnor Township.  On 11/24/2023, a female was observed taking several items from the Little House Shop, located in the Spread Eagle Village Shops.  The value was in excess of $1000 and the suspect’s identity remains under investigation by Radnor Police.  On 11/18/2023, a separate female was observed stealing items from the same store.  Through investigation, this female has been identified and charges are pending.

On 12/05/2023, a victim reported that someone took their wallet from inside their purse while shopping at TJ Maxx located in St. Davids.  Within an hour, several attempts on the victim’s credit cards were made at nearby businesses.

Generally, there is an uptick in thefts during the holiday season.  Residents and shoppers are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and to never leave their belongings unattended while shopping.

Anyone with additional information on these thefts, or who may have been a victim themselves, are asked to contact Radnor Police at 610-688-0503.

The Radnor Police respects citizens' privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties by emphasizing behavior, rather than appearance, in identifying suspicious activity.  Factors such as race, ethnicity, and/or religious affiliation are not suspicious. The public should only report suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack or package, or someone breaking into a vehicle or restricted area).  Moreover, any physical descriptions are based on victim and witness statements provided to the Radnor Police at the time the incident was reported or developed through investigation.
