Single Stream Recycling

Radnor Township mandates that all residents recycle. In order to encourage recycling and to make it easier for our residents, Radnor has incorporated a Single Stream Recycling System in which all recyclables can be placed together in the same receptacle for collection. There is no need to separate your plastics, glass, or paper products. Everything can be collected and recyclables are mixed together in one collection truck instead of being sorted into separate commodities by the resident and handled separately throughout the collection process

The Single Stream Recycling System has advantages:

• More convenient for residents because it requires no sorting of items
• Collection routes can be serviced more efficiently by eliminating the need for multi-vehicle utilization
• All recycling is placed in 1 container
• More types of items can be recycled
• Encourages more residents to recycle
