Yard waste will be collected curbside on Monday for both Districts.

Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection dates change due to holidays and Township closings.

Holidays

The Township is closed during the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
  • President's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth National Independence Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday after Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve - Twp closes at 12:00 p.m.
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve - Twp closes at 12:00 p.m.

Preparing Brush, Trimmings & Leaves

  • All yard waste should be placed in bio-degradable paper bags (no plastic of any kind) or a 35 gallon refuse container for collection. No plastic bags are allowed. Contents of containers should not exceed 50 pounds.
  • All bags are to be place at the curb for collection.
  • Tree trimmings and brush should be tied in bundles no more than 2 feet in diameter and no longer than 3 feet in length. Branches can be no more than 2" in diameter and 3 ft in length. No firewood will be collected.
  • Leaves will be collected in bags when placed at the curb. Bagged leaves will not be collected during the township-wide leaf collection season in November and December.
  • Brush will not be collected that is sticking out of a container; this is for the safety of our employees.
  • Christmas trees are collected after the Christmas holiday, weather permitting, and after leaf collection is completed. Christmas trees must be placed at the curb for pickup.
  • The Township will take up to 10 bundle/bags of yard waste per collection.
  • Burning of yard waste is not permitted.
  • Plastic bags or trash mixed with lawn debris are not permitted.
  • Dirt and mulch will not be collected.
  • Grass clippings will not be collected. It is recommended that the grass clippings be left on your lawn to decay or be composted on your property.

Yard Waste Drop-Off Program

Township residents may also drop off yard waste at Skunk Hollow Park, located on Darby-Paoli Road between Newtown and Sawmill Roads, ½ mile east of the Willows, between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on the 3rd Friday of each month, as shown below, except in November and December (when Township crews collect leaves from all residential properties).

2024 Drop-off Dates
You may drop your yard waste on the following days, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • April 19
  • May 17
  • June 21
  • July 19
  • August 16
  • September 20
  • October 18

Residents may deliver their yard waste (tree limbs no bigger than 3 feet long and 4 inches in diameter, leaves, plant materials, grass clippings, etc.). No plastic bags of any kind can be used.

Required Identification
A photo ID, showing proof of Radnor residency, is required when entering Skunk Hollow. This drop-off program is open to Radnor Township residents only; waste will not be accepted from any contractors or non-residents.
