What is Pickleball?

We find ourselves still answering this question a lot despite the sport’s enormous growth all over the world in the last 10 years!

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports including the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis.

In Radnor Township, the sport is on the rise, and the Parks & Recreation Department has many opportunities for you to play! Our courts at Bo Connor Park, Warren Filipone Park, and Clem Macrone Park offer an outdoor option for you to play every day!
